摘要
More and more domestic and foreign scholars are paying attentions to the air pollution and the effect that air pollution has on humans. There are a few foreign studies proving the negative effects of the air pollution on students' academic achievement. Most of the researches focus on the effects of air pollution on brain development, health, absenteeism and the relationship between brain development, health, absenteeism and academic performance. The domestic academic circles have done little on the research of effect of the air pollution on students' performance. This article is based on the date of middle school students' examination performance and air pollution about the respirable particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10) in some districts of a city in China. Our research applied regression analysis to test the negative effects of students' academic achievement under the air pollution environment. The study found that the air pollution has an obvious negative effect on students' academic achievement and the influence intensity are different from different subjects.
