摘要
This research was designed to optimize the solar photo-Fenton process applied for post-treatment of a biologically treated leachate from Joao Pessoa Sanitary Landfill, Brazil. Central Composite Design (CCD) associated with the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) were applied to evaluate and optimize three operational variables, namely H2O2 factor, ratio of reagents [H2O2]/[FeSO4.7H(2)O], and reaction time, in order to maximize Chemical Oxygen Demand ( COD), turbidity and color removals. Reaction time around 120 min was ideal to achieve the best photo-Fenton process efficiencies. The investigation range of H2O2 factor (0.50 to 1.50) was favorable for all responses. For the factor reagent ratio, an investigation range varying between 1.60 and 7 is indicated for future studies.
