摘要
We employed the genetic algorithm and its hybrid which is a combination with the steepest descent method in estimating the parameters of a smart beam structure consisting of a cantilever beam bonded with a pair of piezoceramic patches. The estimated parameters were the density, stiffness and internal damping of both the beam and piezoceramic patches and the dielectric constant of the patches. The performance of these heuristic methods were compared with the Nelder-Mead method, a direct search method.
