摘要
This article aims to reflect on affectivity, as proposed by Henri Wallon (1934), specifically in the school context, in the teaching of Portuguese from 6th to 9th grade of elementary school. The work is justified by the need to understand how affectivity does influence students, knowledge, and teachers since what is taught/learned has an emotional and human (hence social and organic) appeal. We understand that teaching will always be mediated by affectivity: students and teachers express more or less interest in the study according to the level of understanding and identification with the object. We conclude that it is necessary to bring together the content that is considered the most difficult - and therefore the least attractive - to associate it with others that are considered more interesting to the students. It is also necessary to give teaching an approach that respects the characteristics of the psychological development level in which students are learning.
