摘要
Clean and fast: Transfer hydrogenation of carbonyl compounds in water is attracting increasing attention. This Highlight describes the recent advances in this field made using half-sandwich metal complexes and iridacycle-type complexes as a new kind of versatile catalyst that exhibits high efficiency and chemoselectivity, as well as a broad substrate scope in water as the reaction medium. © 2015 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
