Studying 120° PBG waveguide bend using FDTD

摘要
In this paper, photonic-bandgap-waveguide (PBG-WG) structures are considered. The WGs are based entirely on linear dielectric media. Analysis is based on numerical field computation by FDTD and post-processing of the field data. A 120degrees PBG-WG bend is investigated as an example. Power transmission results are given. Various issues related to simulation arrangements and PBG-WG component design are discussed. (C) 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
