摘要
1,2-Dehydro-o-carborane, a three-dimensional relative of benzyne, has been successfully prepared and structurally characterized for the first time in the form of a zirconocene complex (see picture). This carborane molecule exhibits unique η3-bonding characteristics, with an unprecedented Zr-H-B agostic interaction, as well as two Zr - C bonds, which serve to stabilize the cage.
