A new three-dimensional coordination polymer [Mn(BPDC) (TIPA)]center dot DMF center dot H2O (1) (H2BPDC = biphenyl-3,4'-dicarboxylate, TIPA = tris[4-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)-phenyl]amine and DMF = N, N-dimethylformamide) was solvothermal synthesized by the assembly of Mn2+ ion, H2BPDC and TIPA, respectively. The title complex [Mn(BPDC) (TIPA)]center dot DMF center dot H2O (1) was characterized by IR, elemental analysis, X-ray powder diffraction, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Structure analysis reveals that complex 1 display a 3,5-connected twofold interpenetrated hms topology. Moreover, the luminescent property for complex 1 is investigated at room temperature.
