摘要：
There has long been an awareness that childhood trauma can have a profound impact on the emotional, cognitive, behavioural, social and physical functioning of children. However, it has only recently been recognized that children may develop posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as an immediate or delayed aftermath of severe trauma. As the incidence of violence in our society continues to rise, it seems probable that the prevalence of PTSD in youth populations win also rise. This article reviews the current state of knowledge about PTSD in children and adolescents, Primary Care Psychiatry 2000: 6:43-48, (C) 2000 by LibraPharm Limited.
