Highly active heterogenized platinum-containing catalysts for the complete hydrogenation of multiple bonds are obtained by immobilization of homogeneous systems on the surface of inorganic adsorbents. It is shown that the catalysts containing 0.03-0.09 wt % of platinum supported on alumina, silica, or aluminosilicates exhibit the highest activity. The supported catalysts for the hydrogenation of unsaturated substrates can be used several times without noticeable loss of activity. They also retain their activity on heating to 200 degrees C and are resistant to oxygen, water, and carbon monoxide.
