摘要
The Guided Growth Intervention is a unique empowerment strategy that focuses on the perceived level of expertise of nurses as they progress from novice to expert. Nurses are presented the opportunity to learn and grow in the long-term care setting. This intervention is particularly important in today's healthcare industry, where initiatives focused on empowering employees are likely to benefit the patient, the employee, and subsequently the organization. The Guided Growth Intervention fills a gap in the area of mentoring while providing a theoretical foundation for creating empowering work environments. © 2006 Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Inc.
