摘要
Mechanical behavior of nanostructured Al-7.5 pct Mg that was processed by cryomilling was analyzed. The mechanical behavior was analyzed by performing tensile tests in liquid nitrogen. An average grain size of approximately 100 nm was measured by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM). A high yield stress of 734 MPa, a high ultimate tensile strength (UTS) of 944 MPa, and a low ductility of 2.6 pct were obtained at a temperature of 77.5 K. The results show that there was no evidence of stress drops in the stress-strain curves of the alloy.
