摘要
Introduction: Burn is one of the public health problems and one of the major causes of death in Iran, which causes many physical and psychological disabilities. The aim of this study was to investigate Frequency of burns and its causes in Kermanshah province. Methods: This is a descriptive -analytical cross-sectional study. Data were obtained from the burn data record center of Kermanshah province. 490 patients were studied in this research. A designed checklist was used for data collection. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 22. Results: The mean age of patients was 17.01 years. Most burns (28.6% of the patients) were caused by oil and gasoline. 65.5% of patients had 25% to 50% burning rate. Remedial measures taken for 44% (44.1%) of patients were debridement. Conclusion: Since burn is more prevalent in childhood and adolescence, it is necessary to provide policy interventions and required trainings to this at-risk group to prevent burn incidence.
