摘要
This study presents a proposal for dance knowledge treatment considering the updates of the critical-overcoming approach. it was held in elementary school at Sesc Dom Ulrico school, in the city of Joao Pessoo/PB. It aimed to develop the teaching of dance in Physical Education classes in order to expand the student's thinking references in relation to body culture. The research was referenced in historical-dialectical materialism and used action research as a form of intervention in the school reality. It was concluded that it is possible to propose the knowledge treatment through the selection, organization and systematization of knowledge and that teaching under the critical-overcoming reference enables the development of theoretical thinking and the understanding of the essence of body culture phenomena.
