摘要
We investigated the effects of Ag addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of hot-extruded Mg-6Zn-2Sn-0.4Mn-based alloys. Ag addition resulted in the formation of fine submicron-sized Mg-Ag particles, grain refinement, and weaker basal texture in the alloys. The Ag-containing extruded alloys had better mechanical properties than the alloys without Ag. The ultimate tensile strength (MS) and elongation of alloys containing 1 wt.% Ag were 352 MPa and 19%, respectively. (C) 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
