摘要
Given current conflicts and the ever-impending threats to our nation, it is imperative that the Department of Defense understand the ballistic vulnerabilities of our Army's vehicles. To assist in this understanding, the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Survivability /Lethality Analysis Directorate (SLAD) analyze the ballistic vulnerability of fielded and future combat vehicles. To conduct these vulnerability analyses, ARL/SLAD uses the MUVES-S2 model. MUVES-S2 analyses require data to characterize the ballistic threat, target, and the interaction of these two. This paper will provide an overview of the process and impact of analyzing ballistic vulnerability of ground combat vehicles.
