摘要
Basic characteristics of basalt fibres are described. The main aim of this study is to test the tensile properties of basalt filament yarn, and analyse the effect of the tensile properties of basalt filament yarn on weave process. The tensile properties of basalt filament yarn and kevlar49 filament yarn were measured by Instron. The comparative analysis of the tensile properties of basalt filament yarn and kevlar49 filament yarn, and production difficulty on weave process were discussed. Explore possibility that replace kevlar49 armour with basalt filament yarn. Based on the comparative analysis of measurement data, put forward the idea to replace partially kevlar49 armour with basalt filament yarn, and so that extend application fields of basalt filament yarn.
