摘要
The sediments of Tamiraparani River have been studied. The soil samples were collected once a month for five months from ten different sites starting from Moovattumughom to Thengapattanam. The physico chemical parameters like pH electrical conductivity, amount of macro nutrients and the amount of micro nutrients were analyzed. In this river heavy metals like iron and manganese show a decreasing trend toward the coast. The pH of the water is high in site J because this site is nearer to the ocean.
