摘要
In addition to environmental factors, family, twin, adoption and segregation studies have provided evidence of the genetic involvement in mood disorders. Linkage and association studies are needed to investigate the genes which are of interest in affective disorders. Despite the limitations of these methods, results are promising in the search for susceptibility genes in both unipolar and bipolar affective disorders.
