摘要
Resection of metastatic colorectal cancer hepatic lesions has gained support as surgical advances have made resections safer. Subsequently, the use of neoadjuvant therapy to cytoreduce tumors coupled with improved medical therapy has enhanced resection rates leading to improved outcomes. In "unresectable'' disease, the addition of biologic therapies has further enhanced antitumor response, resulting in successful disease resection in certain patients. This review examines approaches to the neoadjuvant management of colorectal liver metastases with systemic therapies. J. Surg. Oncol. 2010; 102: 946-954. (C) 2010 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
