摘要
The amalgamation of cellular networks provided by different service providers will help in providing high end connectivity to mobile users as well as increasing the overall QoS. The unification of different mobile networks will also give rise to problems such as network congestion etc. Load balancing will become a crucial process to avoid network congestion and performance degradation in future cellular networks. The proposed work aims at studying the dynamics of network selection in heterogeneous cellular networks using game theory. The competition among users to share the limited available bandwidth and between service providers to generate maximum revenue by providing the appropriate QoS to each user as per their requirement is modeled as a game; and Nash equilibrium is considered as a solution to this game, with user satisfaction as the primary motive. Simulation results show that the proposed technique reduces the accumulative load and the used resources of the whole network which enables the service provider to serve more users efficiently.
