Adsorption and electrokinetic characteristics of titanium oxide synthesized by hydrolysis of TiCl4

摘要
The adsorption of potential-determining ions and the electrophoretic mobility of particles of titanium oxide synthesized by hydrolysis of TiCl4 were measured at the background of 1:1-indifferent electrolyte solutions. It was established that the presence of anionic admixtures on the sample surface shifts the point of zero charge and the isoelectric point in accordance with the theoretical notions on the charging of the oxide-electrolyte solution interface.
