摘要:
Optical Properties of ZnO quantum dots (QDs) capping with PVP molecules have been investigated. It is shown that surface modification by PVP can dramatically change ZnO QDs properties such as their sizes and emission spectra. At optimized Zn(II)/PVP ratio, strong UV emission from QDs was obtained by fully eliminating the emission from the surface states. Detailed study shows that the UV emission originates from near band edge bound state emission rather than from band-to-band or free exciton recombination.
