摘要
A low-cost electromagnetic sensor system inspired by metamaterials has been developed for the detection of glyphosate. The structure of the sensor is composed by a group of SRRs (Split Ring Resonator) that allow the generation of an electromagnetic field This electromagnetic field permit the sensing of contaminant glyphosate in water. The accurate quantification involves the detection of three sensing bands. The sensor was tested with various sample concentrations. Results from the preliminary simulation agreed with those from the experiment and reaffirm that this sensor can detect the presence of glyphosate in a wide range of concentrations. Finally, the sensor response showed sensitivity in amplitude and frequency, highliting the potential of multiband sensors to characterize and quantify pollutants in water.
