For the college students, the English learning is very important, and it is directly related to whether the students can successfully graduate, and also indirectly affects the overall competitiveness of the students. Therefore, it is very important for the students to learn English well. In this paper, from the analysis of the problems and shortcomings existing in the process of the implementation of the current college English teaching activities, combined with the specific connotations of the communicative teaching method, through the integration of the specific requirements of the current college English teaching activities, the author explores the specific impact of the communicative teaching method on the college English teaching activities. From an objective point of view, the cultural teaching is the main contents to achieve the ideal effect of the English teaching. Only by focusing on the cultural education can we achieve the goals of the college English teaching fundamentally. With the constant promotion of the college English cultural teaching, now we come to realize that because we failed to recognize the difference between the Chinese cultures of the living environments of the students and the western cultures of the college English, the entire college English cultural teaching not only failed to achieve the desired effects, but also cannot achieve the purpose of effectively cultivating the students' humanistic literacy, and therefore, the exploration of the ideas for the effective implementation of the college English cultural teaching is very important.
