Differential UWB Antenna with Reconfigurable Band-Notched Characteristics using Varactor Diodes

摘要
A differential UWB antenna with reconfigurable band-notched characteristics using varactor diodes is proposed in this paper. By introducing three C-shaped resonators near the feed line, band-notched characteristics can be generated in each of the high and low frequency bands. To control the frequency of the notch, varactor diodes are loaded on the high frequency resonators. Simulation results show that as the capacitance of varactor diodes changes, the notch moves. The simulated impedance (vertical bar S11 vertical bar <= 10dB) of the antenna without resonators is 116% (3.13GHz similar to 11.79GHz). The low-frequency notch wave band is 4.5-5.3GHz and the high frequency notch from 9.6 to 10.5GHz when the capacitance changes from 0.9pF to 0.4pF.
