摘要
This paper presents two FE optimization approaches for the electrical efficiency of an induction furnace. An adaptive axisymmetric time harmonic calculation is used for the solution of the eddy current field problem. This is coupled with the globally convergent genetic algorithm for the optimization of the cross sectional shape of the turn of the inductor coil. A gradient technique based on the sensitivity analysis is taken for the shape optimization of the whole inductor coil.
