摘要
Using the PGNAA set-up, which has been developed in our earlier work, a series of experiments are carried out to detect the boron and cadmium in aqueous solution. The minimum detectable concentrations of boron and cadmium are 7.0 and 2.5 mg/L, respectively. But at the same time, it is found that the characteristic peak counts have poor linear relationship with the content of boron and cadmium. This will not only bring more error in the quantitative analysis, but also bring more difficulties to spectral resolution in the multi-element detection. In order to solve this problem, a correction factor g is proposed, and the experiment results have been corrected by using the g factor. The results shows that the linear relationship between the characteristic peak counts and the content of element have significantly improved after the correction. The linear correlation coefficients reach 0.99 or more. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
