The objective of this Part II is to model void formation and their removal in LCM. From the micro-scale now pattern and void formation mechanisms observed by now visualization, a phenomenological model based on the multi-phase Darcy's law was developed to simulate the void formation during LCM mold filling. Results from Part I were used to determine several important parameters of the model. The model was able to predict macro-void fractions with flow rates and liquid properties. A criterion for the movement of trapped voids was also developed.
