摘要
The Green Synthesis of metal/metal oxide nanoparticles have gained huge attention in recent years due to its increasing applications in various fields and owing to its less usage of chemicals and easy experimental methods. Green Synthesis aims to reduce the usage of toxic chemicals which are replaced by biomolecules from plants which contain terpenoids, aldehydes, vitamins, alkoids, polysaccharides which act like reducing, capping and stabilizing agents for the formation of the desired nanoparticles. Titanium Dioxide nanomaterials are known to have several applications. They are mainly known for photocatalytic activity and numerous functional applications in advanced devices such as photovoltaic cells. They also possess many applications in the fields of Biomedicine and Dentistry. This review signifies the Green technique for the synthesis of Titanium nanoparticles (TiO2-NP's) using various plant extracts, fungi and bacteria and its applications in Anticancer activities. The common treatment for cancer is chemotherapy, surgery and radiation treatment which have harmful side effects due to insufficiency of targeted drug delivery. This review is focused on TiO2 NPs that are obtained by Green synthesis methods which acts as both drug carriers and in some cases also as drug substitutes for cancer treatment.
