摘要:
A novel charge-transfer complex of tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) having uracil moiety (TTFU), TTFU-TCNQ, was prepared by a cross coupling reaction of Bu3Sn=TTF and 5-iodouracil using Pd(0) catalyst. The TTFU=TCNQ complex was obtained by the mixing of equal molar quantities of DMF solution of TTFU and TCNQ. It exhibits a high electrical conductivity as the compressed pellet (rho (rt) = 9 Omega cm at room temperature) and shows semiconducting behavior (E-a = 180 meV). From the magnetic susceptibility measurement. TTFU-TCNQ was found to have spin degrees of freedom, which suggests that it is not a band-type insulator but a Mott-Hubbard insulator.
