High reflectivity phase conjugation in the visible spectrum using stimulated Brillouin scattering in alkanes

摘要
High reflectivity optical phase conjugation in the visible spectrum has been achieved using Brillouin-induced four-wave mixing and a scheme based on a Brillouin preamplifier. Four-wave mixing gave the highest fidelity, but the Brillouin preamplifier method had higher reflection coefficients reaching 7 x 10(7). This increased to 10(10) using an additional dye laser preamplifier.
