摘要
Addressing the challenges in typology of architectural models of annualAstragalus(AstragalusL.) has revealed a close relationship between the shoot system and structure of inflorescences. The article discusses features of the distinguished four patterns of the architectural models. The synthesis of approaches has provided insight into evolutionary trends. Applying the architectural model approach has made it possible to classify the lifeforms of annualAstragalus. A synthesis of the molecular, taxonomic, and morphological data supports the idea of mosaic evolution and heterochrony (heterobathmy) of characters.
