摘要
In this abstract we describe the use of photodynamic therapy (PDT) to recanalise occluded biliary metal stents. In patients with jaundice secondary to obstructed metal stents PDT was carried out 72hrs after the administration of mTHPC. Red laser light at 652nm was delivered endoscopically at an energy intensity of 50J/cm. A week later endoscopic retrograde cholangiogram showed complete recanalisation of the metal stent.
