摘要
The pre-sowing treatment of crop seeds with extracts of germinating wheat seeds, accelerates the initial stages of germination viz., mobilises seed reserves, forms shoots and roots and creates favourable biological and microbiological environment around the germinating seeds. The full use of seed reserves, active synthesis of nucleic acids, albumin and other compounds results into well-developed shoots. The physiologically active Substances of the extract and its epiphytic microflora exert fungicidal and bactericidal effects on pathogens and thus Suppress their development on treated seeds. Therefore, the pre-sowing treatment/enrichment of field crop seeds with physiologically active extract not only enriches the acceptor seeds with many biologically active substances but also enhances the biological functions of their exometabolites during germination, including allelopathic activity. Therefore, pre-sowing enrichment of field crop seeds with the extract (a) increases the germination vigour, (b) produces early shoots, (c) improves resistance of plants to unfavorable environmental conditions and diseases, (d) activates symbiotic microorganisms for (i) nitrogen fixation and (ii) transformation of nitrogen and phosphorus in the soil rhizosphere, thereby, improves the plant growth, development and yield.
