Large eddy simulation of oscillating flows over a flat plate

摘要
Oscillatory turbulent flow over a flat plate is studied by using large eddy simulation (LES). A dynamic subgrid scale (SGS) model is employed. The profiles of the mean velocity and the wall shear stress are computed for the accelerating and decelerating phases during the oscillating cycle. The present results show that the surface shear oscillation in the laminar regime has an amplitude 30% less than and a phase angle 35 degrees lag from those of surface shear oscillation in the turbulence regime.
