Effect of the central air on air flow and coal combustion in the region of swirl burners

摘要
The aerodynamic characteristics of free, swirling, coaxial jets issuing front art air model of a Radial Bias Combustion burner for pulverized coal have been studied with different ratios of central air, and cold and reacting flow experiments have been done on a bituminous coal fired, 670t/h boiler. Detailed measurements of mean velocity and static pressure have been obtained in the region near the model exit. With increase of ratio of the central air, the type of flow pattern changes, and recirculated-mass flowrate, swirl number and divergent angle decrease. In-situ species and temperature have been measured in the region near the burner exit. With increase of ratio of the central air, oxidizing atmosphere is strengthened and gas temperature greatly decreased in the central flow zone of burner. The ratio of the central air has slight effects on NOx emission of boiler.
