DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF PLANAR ANTENNA WITH DUAL WLAN BAND-NOTCHED FOR INTEGRATED BLUETOOTH AND UWB APPLICATIONS

摘要
A small-sized, low-profile, and planar antenna for integrated Bluetooth and ultrawideband (UWB) applications is presented with WLAN band-notched. The antenna is fed by a special microstrip line, and it is built on PTFE (epsilon(r) = 2.4) substrate with a whole size of 20mm * 46 mm. Besides, the overall size of the radiating element is 15 mm * 16 mm. A semicircular and a split ring slot resonators are embedded in the radiating patch for dual band-notched to reject the WLAN interference band. The antenna can operate in the 2.25-2.5 GHz and 3.0-10.75 GHz frequency range that covers the Bluetooth (2.4-2.484 GHz) and UWB (3.1-10.6 GHz) with band-notched of 4.96-5.29 GHz and 5.54-6.01 GHz. The time domain consideration is also applied which exhibits good performance with short pulses.
