摘要
A compact, ultra wideband antenna with two notch bands has been proposed in this paper. The proposed structure consists of a chamfered circular patch slot antenna with an elliptical complimentary split ring resonator and a partial ground plane. Band notch operation is achieved by exciting rectangular split ring resonators at 5.5 GHz and elliptical complimentary split ring resonator at 3.5 GHz for eliminating interference due to WLAN and WiMAX frequency bands. The proposed antenna offers a total size of 26 x 36 x 1.6 mm(3) with a percentage impedance bandwidth of 133.2% centered at 7.78 GHz. It also offers good band rejection with negative gains and poor radiation efficiency at notches.
