摘要
The aim of the paper is to describe the potential for ICT system implementation in futuristic furniture design. The literature review covered the information and communication technologies, the characteristics of the information society in Poland and the range of ICT solutions available on the market. In order to recognize the needs for new, conceptual ideas to integrate ICT with elements of interior design a survey study was conducted. Altogether there were 164 respondents participating in the research. Moreover, functionalities of information and communication technologies that could be useful in the household area were analysed.
