A study on interface design for web-based teleoperation

摘要
This paper describes a research project that applies leading-edge technologies from the computer graphics, computer vision and intelligent hearing fields, such as foveated wavelet image compression, 3D warping and head related transform function, to web-based teleoperation platform design. Based on these methods, a modularized Internet teleoperation framework is proposed for similar application development. This paper proposes a partial solution to the problem of limited Internet communication bandwidth encountered by most Internet based teleoperation applications. The application of this solution may make real-time feedback and stable control possible.
