摘要
The putative benefits and the consequences of using herbicide resistant crops in weed resistance management are examined. The advantages of alternating herbicides with different modes of action and providing more flexibility to integrated weed management must be balanced with the possible selection for weed resistance to new herbicides, spread of resistant volunteer crops and transfer of resistance genes to wild and weedy relatives.
