The effect of different N-pentyl-2-pyridylmethanimine derivatives 2a-f upon the rate of copper(I) mediated atom transfer radical cyclisation (ATRC) of 5 and living atom transfer radical polymerisation (ATRP) of methylmethacrylate were investigated.
