摘要
The geotechnical characterization of a rock mass is a process that involves the evaluation, selection and synthesis of different nature information, the methodology illustrated here is an example developed for a dam foundation that integrates experimental and empirical approaches with intelligent tools to assist the decision-making process for defining the spatial variation and the most representative deformability and shear strength parameters of the rock mass and its joint system.
