摘要：
This article intends to report the extension project "Afro-Brazilian Culture: Popular and Academic Knowledge", developed within UFMA in partnership with FAPEMA. This project aimed to integrate university and community, with a view to social inclusion through the manifestations of Afro-Brazilian culture, mainly capoeira. Worked in the training of undergraduate students for implementation of Law 11.645 / 2008, being developed through planning, dissemination, theoretical and practical workshops and cultural presentations. As results, there were formative-multiplier impacts, scientific and artistic-educational impacts.
