We study some physical properties of the Dirac fermions in the quasi-two-dimensional organic conductor alpha-(BEDT - TTF)(2)I-3 under pressure In particular we consider the Berry phase effect in impurity scattering and a topological property characterized by a Chern-Simons term by introducing a coupling between Dirac fermions and a U(1) gauge field (C) 2009 Elsevier B V All rights reserved
