Cardiac endothelium and myocardial function

Endocardial endothelium and vascular endothelium of myocardial capillaries share common features as modulators of cardiac performance, rhythmicity and growth. Growing evidence suggests differences between these two cardiac endothelial cell types with regard to developmental, morphological and functional properties.
