Multiple magnetic transitions in UPd2Ge2

摘要
A detailed study of magnetization and AC susceptibility is presented for UPd2Ge2 in the temperature range 2 - 300 K and in magnetic fields up to 100 kOe. This compound has para- to antiferro-magnetic (AF) transition around 140 K. The AF state changes its character below 80 K with appearance of characteristic features indicative of ferromagnetic interactions. Field induced magnetic transitions and interesting thermomagnetic history effects are observed below 80 K. (C) 2004 Elsevier B. V. All rights reserved.
