BEM analysis of dynamic fracture of a layered composite

摘要
Transient response of a sub-interface crack imbedded in the matrix strip between two half-planes is studied with emphasis on the dynamic interaction between the crack and interface. A time-domain boundary element method (BEM) combining the traditional time-domain displacement integral equations (BIEs) and non-hypersingular traction BIEs is introduced to this problem. Numerical results of the dynamic stress intensity factors (DSIFs) are presented for various material combinations and crack location and show the pronounced increases in DSIFs in some cases because of the dynamic crack-interface interaction.
