摘要
The field trails were conductcd during the winter seasons of 1998-2001 at the Agricultural Research Station, Navgaon, Alwar (Rajasthan), to study the effect of foliar sprays of different agrochemicals on growth and yield of indian mustard [Brassica juncea (L.) Czernj. & Cosson]. Application of all the test agrochemicals, ie thiourea. sulphuric acid, urea, zinc sulphate and boric acid, significantly increased the growth parameters, yield attributes, seed and stover yield, harvest index and oil content of indian mustard when compared with the control. The highest values of plant height (169.1 cm), primary branches/plant (8.20), siliquae/plant (132.4), seeds/siliqua (14.5),1 000-seed weight (5.4 g), seed yield (2 031 kg/ha), stover yield (5 752 kg/ha), harvest index (26.1%), oil content (42.0%) and net returns (Rs 20 471/ha) were recorded with spray of thiourea (0.1%). However, the stages of growth at which the spray was done did not matter much.
